High Carbon

I'm late with this blog.  It's been a high mileage, high carbon week.  The vast majority done on trains so I don't feel too bad though it does add up...

But here is the bad news.  Dave Hampton, aka The Carbon Coach, sent me a pic and an email with the shocking info that the average UK person would produce 100 small balloons (8-9 inch diameter) an hour!  This is approximately 10 tonnes of CO2 each year.  In China it would be 40 per hour, in India 10, in the poor bits of Africa 0 and in the US 200!

Somehow, I'm just not resting easy....  Off to find a light switch I can turn off....
