City Lines

I've been planning a few more visits to Newcastle for next year.  I'm always really pleased to be working there; it's a city of great people, good views and vistas.  I often find myself responding to the lines and contrast of the city. The quayside has featured before on LWOE and is a fine location for my more meditative wanderings and wonderings.

Sad, though, to hear that this part of the quayside is under floodwater after the recent storm surge. But with a wry smile, I see on Twitter that The Pitcher and Piano pub down on the quay is still open for business.

So, while I'm really hoping everyone is safe, you've gotta love that Geordie attitude ;-)
