A life without our animals.

Bracken the Wonder Dog died this morning.

For the last 10 years she has been our best friend, loyal confidant, empathiser, body guard, running companion, mediator, sock eater, comedienne, fancy dress model, ball catcher, intruder alarm, unsuccessful squirrel chaser, conversation starter, listener, bandana wearer and heart stealer.

And it feels like we humans are ill-equipped for a life without our animals.
