It's definitely Autumn in our part of the world.

I normally see these round bales standing in the fields looking like strange invaders rolling across the landscape in the low sunlight. This year there is a shortage of straw (would you believe that?) and they all seem to have been hidden away very quickly. The changing climate patterns seems to be wreaking havoc with the established crops and growing cycles and so now we might run out of straw....

I found this old trailer in a small wood near my home. It seems like the rustic permanence of the trailer and it's simple, although increasingly valuable, freight belies the complexity and sensitivity of the world we now inhabit.
